Man Injured In Plane Crash Sues Boeing, Avient

Law360, New York (November 30, 2010, 2:00 PM EST) -- A former flight trainer for Avient Ltd. has sued the Zimbabwe-based air cargo carrier and aircraft designer Boeing Co. for injuries he sustained in a 2009 crash at Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport that killed three other passengers.

William Johnson suffered a crushed thoracic vertebra, two broken clavicles, a broken sternum, five broken ribs, a collapsed lung and severe cuts on his head and face in the crash, according to the complaint, filed Nov. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida....
