High Court To Hear Railroad Proximate Causation Case

Law360, New York (November 29, 2010, 8:00 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday agreed to hear a case between a CSX Corp. unit and a railroad engineer who was injured on the job over whether the Federal Employers Liability Act requires proof of proximate causation.

In addition to granting the certiorari petition from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the high court also granted the Association of American Railroads' motion for leave to file an amicus brief.
