S. Africa OKs 3rd Deal In Plastic Pipes Cartel

Law360, New York (November 30, 2010, 2:45 PM EST) -- South Africa's competition court has signed off on Swan Plastics CC's 7 million rand ($976,000) settlement with the country's antitrust watchdog in an ongoing case against a plastic pipes cartel.

The Competition Tribunal cleared the settlement in an order Nov. 24, about a month after it approved a similar 5 million rand deal with fellow cartel member Flo-Tek Pipes and Irrigation (Pty) Ltd.
