Fla. Judge Tosses National Union Drywall Suit

Law360 (November 30, 2010, 1:51 PM EST) -- A federal judge in Florida has dismissed a suit brought by an American International Group Inc. affiliate that asked the court to declare the insurer has no duty to defend or indemnify F. Vicino and Co. Inc. and two other companies in 17 lawsuits over allegedly defective Chinese drywall.

Judge Alan Gold of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida signed off on an order, entered on Monday, granting the defendants' motion to dismiss for lack of subject matter jurisdiction.
