Greenpeace Targets Dow, Sasol In Espionage Suit

Law360, New York (November 30, 2010, 2:57 PM EST) -- Environmental watchdog Greenpeace Inc. has accused Dow Chemical Co., Sasol North America Inc. and their public relations firms of stealing its trade secrets, saying the companies lifted confidential papers from recycling bins and infiltrated a Greenpeace-affiliated group in Louisiana.

Greenpeace filed its lawsuit Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. The organization said the companies conducted the espionage between 1998 and 2000, in an attempt to counter public health and environmental campaigns being waged by Greenpeace against the firms at the time....
