J&J Recalls Mylanta To Revise Alcohol Labeling

Law360, New York (December 2, 2010, 4:41 PM EST) -- A Johnson & Johnson subsidiary has recalled a dozen types of its heartburn medicines Mylanta and Alternagel due to concerns that the product packaging does not identify trace amounts of alcohol, the second such recall the company has issued in less than a week.

Johnson & Johnson-Merck Consumer Pharmaceuticals Co. said Monday it would be recalling 233 lots of Mylanta liquids in various strengths and flavors and three lots of Alternagel in 12-ounce bottles to update the labeling on the products.
