Sensient Asks High Court To Consider Trademark Case

Law360 (December 3, 2010, 4:38 PM EST) -- Sensient Flavors LLC has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review a decision that found a reasonable jury would not confuse the company's name with rival SensoryEffects Flavor Co.

In a petition for writ of certiorari released Thursday, Sensient said the case offers the question of whether evidence indicating a party intentionally selected a mark to confuse customers supports a presumption that the mark will likely confuse customers.
