School Lunch Bill Heads To Obama's Desk

Law360, New York (December 3, 2010, 5:17 PM EST) -- Legislation that introduces the most significant changes to the U.S. school lunch program since the Carter administration has cleared the U.S. House of Representatives and is headed to President Obama's desk.

The House passed S. 3307, the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, by a vote of 264-157 on Thursday.

The nutrition bill, "combined with our health bill, with the other initiatives that relate to children’s health, will make not only our children healthier but our country healthier," said Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., on Friday....
