Feds Accuse Florida West Of Rate-Fixing Scheme

Law360, New York (December 3, 2010, 6:01 PM EST) -- Florida West International Airways Inc., a former Florida West executive and two executives of a competing air cargo carrier have been indicted for conspiring to fix rates on shipments from Colombia to Miami.

An indictment was returned Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida charging Florida West, ex-Florida West Vice President Rodrigo Hernan Hidalgo, and Luis Augusto Afanador and Jaime Lara Rueda Sr. with conspiracy to restrain trade.
