Drug Dealer Says Rehab Should Mean Lighter Sentence

Law360 (December 6, 2010, 8:16 PM EST) -- An attorney for a former drug addict who was slapped with a stiffer sentence for drug dealing — even after he got clean, married, and began earning straight As in school and employee awards at work — told the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday that courts should be allowed to consider post-sentencing rehabilitation when a defendant's sentence is reconsidered on remand.
