E.U. May Take Spain To Court Over Endesa

Law360 (March 27, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The European Commission will decide on Wednesday whether it should take Spain to Europe’s highest court for its continuous interference in the proposed merger of E.On AG and Endesa SA.

If the E.C. moves ahead with the legal action, it would be the latest step in a series of legal actions that have been launched since Madrid first decided to set conditions on German power utility E.On’s buy-out of Spain’s main energy company, Endesa.
