Reckitt, Watson Drop Patent In Suit Over Mucinex ANDA

Law360 (December 7, 2010, 2:48 PM EST) -- Reckitt Benckiser Inc. and Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc. have agreed to drop one of the two patents asserted in their dispute over Watson's attempt to make a generic version of the blockbuster cough treatment Mucinex.

Judge William P. Dimtrouleas of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida issued an order of partial dismissal Monday, approving the parties' stipulation of dismissal of their claims, defenses and counterclaims in relation to U.S. Patent Number 6,955,821.
