Ex-Mortgage Lenders Head Tries To Evade Arrest

Law360, New York (March 27, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The former president of bankrupt subprime lender Mortgage Lenders Network USA Inc. filed a motion Tuesday to escape criminal prosecution by the state of Connecticut for failing to pay about $2.5 million in commissions owed employees.

The Connecticut Department of Labor Monday applied for an arrest warrant in Middlesex Superior Court in Middletown for Mitchell Heffernan on 61 counts of failure to pay wages.
