AHM Bankruptcy Judge Tips US Atty To Possible Fraud

Law360, New York (December 8, 2010, 6:39 PM EST) -- The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Delaware is looking into potential fraudulent actions reported by the bankruptcy judge in charge of American Home Mortgage Holdings Inc.'s Chapter 11 proceedings. 

A letter from U.S. Attorney David Weiss' office — dated Dec. 3 and court-stamped Tuesday — that was addressed to Judge Christopher Sontchi of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware said that Weiss' office had received a Nov. 30 letter from Judge Sontchi reporting apparent fraud in AHM's Chapter 11 case....
