Fed. Circ. Won't Toss Taylor Brands' Knife IP Spat

Law360, New York (December 10, 2010, 5:55 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has refused to dismiss knife manufacturer Taylor Brands LLC's challenge of its loss in a patent infringement suit against Columbia River Knife & Tool Co., rejecting Columbia's contention that the plaintiff waived its right to appeal.

Taylor Brands can continue to appeal the adverse summary judgment ruling that went final when the parties stipulated to final judgment in December 2009, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit ruled Thursday.
