CFTC Unveils Revised Swap Exchange Facility Rules

Law360, New York (December 16, 2010, 1:56 PM EST) -- The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission on Thursday proposed final rules for swap trading facilities in a bid to increase transparency in the derivatives trading market, a week after it tabled its original proposal for the facilities.

The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act called for swap transactions to be executed on trading platforms such as existing futures exchanges or swap execution facilities.
