Dems Offer Tax Cuts To Extend Clean Energy Programs

Law360, New York (December 10, 2010, 2:38 PM EST) -- Senate Democrats have submitted a tax cut package based on a compromise put forward by President Barack Obama and Republican leaders, adding a number of measures to prolong aid to the renewable energy industry through grants, import tariffs and tax credits.

The bill, introduced Thursday by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., extends to 2011 numerous clean energy grants and credits that were set to expire in 2010.
