Goodwin Fires Back In Northland Fees Battle

Law360, New York (December 10, 2010, 4:51 PM EST) -- Goodwin Procter LLP is fighting back against long-standing client Northland Investment Corp.'s suit claiming it doesn't owe any attorneys' fees for a failed joint venture and other transactional work because the firm breached its duty and disclosed confidential information about the company, a firm spokesman said Friday.

Goodwin spokesman Lee Feldman said the firm would soon file a response to Northland’s lawsuit in the Middlesex Superior Court in Massachusetts, fighting claims that the firm’s $700,000 arbitration award is invalid because the arbitrator declined to consider allegations...
