Japan Orders J&J To Nix Acuvue Price-Display Ban

Law360, New York (December 10, 2010, 4:44 PM EST) -- Japan's antitrust watchdog has ordered a Johnson & Johnson subsidiary to stop barring retailers from showing prices of the company's disposable contact lenses in advertising materials.

The cease-and-desist order from the Japan Fair Trade Commission, issued Dec. 1 but released Monday, requires Johnson & Johnson KK to show it has ended its promotional program which restricts retailers' advertising for the company's Acuvue contact lenses.
