EU, India Plan To Finish FTA By Spring 2011

Law360, New York (December 10, 2010, 4:58 PM EST) -- Officials from India and the European Union expect to conclude a free trade agreement by early 2011, leaders from both governments said after settling on the basic contours of the deal at Friday's summit in Brussels.

European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said the two sides had made "very important progress" toward a broad-based trade and investment agreement and are planning to conclude the talks during the next EU-India summit in New Delhi in the spring of 2011.
