Supreme Court Rebuffs Deceptive Law Firm Ads Case

Law360, New York (December 13, 2010, 1:17 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday denied certiorari to New York in a case that limited the state's ability to restrict allegedly deceptive advertising techniques used by law firms.

The high court announced it would not grant the petition, filed on behalf of Thomas J. Cahill, chief counsel for the Departmental Disciplinary Committee for the Appellate Division of the New York Court of Appeals, First Department.
