Enviros Fight Ambre Permit For Coal Export Terminal

Law360, New York (December 14, 2010, 5:30 PM EST) -- The Sierra Club and Columbia Riverkeeper are among four environmental groups challenging a development permit issued to an Ambre Energy Inc. subsidiary for a coal export terminal planned for Longview, Wash.

The groups filed a petition Monday asking the state's Shoreline Hearings Board to overturn Cowlitz County's Nov. 23 decision to issue the permit to Millennium Bulk Logistics Inc., a unit of Australian coal mining company Ambre.
