EU Trade Deal With Canada On Track For 2011

Law360, New York (December 16, 2010, 2:36 PM EST) -- European Union Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht has signaled that a free trade agreement between Canada and the EU is on track to be completed by the end of 2011, after little more than a year of ongoing negotiations.

In a statement released Wednesday, De Gucht said after a meeting with Canada's Minister of International Trade Peter Van Loan in Ottawa that significant progress had been achieved and that negotiations between the two countries will continue.
