Sens. Approve Lower Lead Limit In Water Pipes

Law360, New York (December 17, 2010, 1:21 PM EST) -- The U.S. Senate has approved legislation designed to reduce the amount of lead content allowed in drinking water pipes, pipe fittings and plumbing fixtures that are designated lead-free.

The Senate voted unanimously on Thursday to pass S. 3874, the Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act, which will now go to the U.S. House of Representatives for action before the lame-duck session draws to an end.
