Deutsche Telekom Targeted In Slovak Antitrust Probe

Law360, New York (December 17, 2010, 5:57 PM EST) -- The European Union’s competition agency on Friday announced that it was broadening its investigation of Slovak Telekom AS to include parent company Deutsche Telekom amid concerns that the German telecommunications giant may have played a role in suspected market abuses.

The European Commission said that Deutsche Telekom, which owns a 51 percent stake in Slovak Telekom, was under scrutiny now that regulators had made headway in their investigation of Slovak’s behavior as a dominant broadband provider in Slovakia.
