DLA Advises Applied Signal In $490M Raytheon Sale

Law360, New York (December 20, 2010, 2:22 PM EST) -- Defense contractor Raytheon Co. is set to acquire electronic intelligence technology company Applied Signal Technology Inc. in a deal valued at about $490 million.

Under the terms of the deal, announced jointly by the companies Monday, Raytheon will commence a tender offer to purchase all of the outstanding shares of Applied Signal for $38 per share.

The agreement has already received the go-ahead from the boards of directors of both companies, and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2011 subject to customary closing...
