T-Mobile Didn't Infringe Prepaid Card IP: Fed. Circ.

Law360 (December 21, 2010, 2:17 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has affirmed a lower court's claim construction that led telecommunications company Aerotel Ltd. to drop its allegations that T-Mobile USA Inc. infringed a patent covering a system for making prepaid phone calls.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on Monday found that Judge James L. Robart of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington correctly construed the patent-in-suit in such a way that T-Mobile's products could not infringe.
