Senate Confirms District Judges For Ohio, Colo.

Law360, New York (December 21, 2010, 8:02 PM EST) -- The U.S. Senate on Tuesday confirmed two nominations to federal district courts, filling vacancies in Ohio and Colorado even as 24 judicial nominations remain pending.

Judge Benita Pearson of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio was confirmed by a 56-39 vote, while Judge William J. Martinez of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado was confirmed by a 58-37 vote. Both votes were nearly entirely along party lines.
