FDA Announces Recall Of Abbott Diabetic Test Strips

Law360, New York (December 23, 2010, 12:39 PM EST) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Abbott Diabetes Care have announced a recall of approximately 359 million test strips found to give falsely low blood glucose results, which could pose a threat to diabetics.

The products affected are Abbott's Precision Xtra, Precision Xceed Pro, MediSense Optium, Optium, OptiumEZ and ReliOn Ultima test strips manufactured between January and September 2010, according to the announcement released on Wednesday.
