Samsung Imports Don't Infringe Capacitor IP: Judge

Law360 (December 23, 2010, 2:29 PM EST) -- A U.S. International Trade Commission administrative law judge has preliminarily determined that Samsung Electro-Mechanics Co. did not infringe three Murata Manufacturing Co. Ltd. patents in its importation of certain ceramic capacitors in electronic devices.

Judge E. James Gildea issued the opening pages of his final initial determination and recommended determination on remedy and bond on Wednesday, clearing Samsung of infringement of the three patents-in-suit.

A complete public version of the determination will be released after the parties submit and review proposed redactions, Judge Gildea said....
