Pfizer Yanks More Lipitor After Odor Problems

Law360, New York (December 23, 2010, 1:23 PM EST) -- Pfizer Inc. is recalling 19,000 more bottles of the cholesterol drug Lipitor in the U.S. after receiving a complaint about an uncharacteristic odor emanating from the bottle in which the pharmaceutical giant's blockbuster drug was packaged.

Pfizer issued the recall of Lipitor 40 mg tablets on Wednesday after receiving the customer complaint, but said health risks resulting from the odor appear to be minor.
