Gasco Settles Pollution Suit Over Utah Gas Facility

Law360, New York (January 3, 2011, 8:06 PM EST) -- Gasco Energy Inc. and Monarch Natural Gas LLC have reached a $350,000 settlement in the U.S. government’s Clean Air Act case over emissions at a natural gas production facility in Utah.

The government filed a consent decree Dec. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah that would resolve the companies’ liability for alleged violations at the Riverbend compressor station southwest of Vernal, Utah.

Gasco sold the site, which is located in the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation, to Monarch in February 2010,...
