RJ Reynolds To Pay $4M Punitive Award To Ex-Smoker

Law360, New York (January 3, 2011, 2:12 PM EST) -- A federal judge has granted nearly $4 million in punitive damages to a longtime smoker who sued R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. after she developed larynx cancer, disregarding the plaintiff's request for an award four times that amount.
