Appeals Court Backs Wachovia In Arbitration Dispute

Law360, New York (April 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An appeals court has affirmed a lower court's dismissal of a case brought by a financial advisor against Wachovia Securities LLC alleging that arbitrators had exceeded their authority.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit said in a ruling filed Friday that Michael J. Riddle had failed to meet his burden to support vacating an arbitration award decided by the National Association of Securities Dealers.
