FDA Warns Invacare Over Electric Bed Fire Hazards

Law360, New York (January 4, 2011, 7:31 PM EST) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has chastised Invacare Corp. for failing to respond adequately to complaints about fire and entrapment risks associated with its electric beds.

The FDA warned the home health care product manufacturer of procedural violations at the company's Sanford, Fla., facility in a Dec. 15 letter that was posted on the agency's website Tuesday.
