Del. High Court Affirms Dismissal Of PwC Fraud Suit

Law360 (January 4, 2011, 8:42 PM EST) -- Delaware's highest court has affirmed the dismissal of a derivative suit brought by American International Group Inc. shareholders against auditor PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, following a ruling from New York's highest court that barred the case under the in pari delicto doctrine.

Judge Carolyn Berger of Delaware Supreme Court issued the order on Monday, upholding the Delaware Court of Chancery's decision to toss the spat that accused PricewaterhouseCoopers of failing to detect or report alleged fraud committed by AIG's senior officers during the 2008 financial crisis.
