NLRB Vet Gets Nod For Permanent GC Role

Law360, New York (January 5, 2011, 6:55 PM EST) -- President Barack Obama on Wednesday announced plans to nominate veteran National Labor Relations Board attorney Lafe E. Solomon to permanently handle the agency's highest-ranking legal position, which he has held in an acting capacity since June.

In his capacity as general counsel — the board's top investigative and prosecutorial position — Solomon will have supervisory authority over all regional offices and will guide policy on issuing complaints, seeking injunctions and enforcing the NLRB's decisions, the White House said in a statement.
