Law360, New York (April 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The battle between the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce over the SEC’s mutual fund rule is far from over. The SEC has refused a request by the Chamber to turn over documents relating to two economic studies it used in drafting the rule.
The Chamber had requested the documents, including notes and written records taken as the SEC decided whether to use the economic studies, in February, according to Dow Jones.
