FDA Aims To Bolster Industry Transparency

Law360, New York (January 7, 2011, 7:17 PM EST) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has unveiled a series of plans to improve transparency in its regulation, marking its latest bid to improve compliance with agency rules governing regulated products.

In a report issued Thursday, the FDA outlined 19 action items and five draft proposals as part of its ongoing transparency initiative, which was launched by FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg in June 2009.
