CPSC Opens First Foreign Office In China

Law360 (January 10, 2011, 5:45 PM EST) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has opened an office in China in an attempt to cut down on the amount of potentially dangerous products making their way into the U.S.

The office — which is located in the U.S. embassy in Beijing and is staffed by two people — is the first foreign office launched by the agency in its history, CPSC spokesman Scott Wolfson told Law360 on Monday. It officially opened Monday, he said.
