Infosys To Take Trademark Battle To India's Supreme Court

Law360, New York (September 16, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Infosys, one of India’s top information technology companies, is going to the country’s Supreme Court to fight off a challenge to the company’s well-known trademark.

Infosys told local media it would appeal to the Supreme Court a ruling of the Chennai High Court that stripped it of the exclusive right to the “Infosys” trademark.

“We will fight it out,” Infosys chairman NR Narayana Murthy said on the sidelines of a banking summit, according to the Financial Express.
