High Court Won't Hear Ex-AWA Pilots' Seniority Case

Law360, New York (January 10, 2011, 2:57 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday refused to overturn a ruling against former American West Airlines pilots who claimed changes in their seniority system brought on by AWA's sale to US Airways Inc. breached their union contracts.

The high court issued its decision, which leaves standing an appellate court loss for the pilots, in a routine order. As is its custom, no reasons were provided for why it did not to take the case.
