WildEarth, EPA Settle Suit Over Xcel Plants

Law360 (January 10, 2011, 3:48 PM EST) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has agreed to settle a lawsuit by environmental group WildEarth Guardians, agreeing to deadlines for its response to the group's petitions challenging permits issued to three Xcel Energy Inc. coal-fired power plants in Colorado.

Judge Richard P. Matsch of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado on Monday signed off on a consent decree that the group and the EPA filed with the court in November.
