China Focuses On UK Ties, High-Tech Export Ban

Law360, New York (January 11, 2011, 4:45 PM EST) -- Chinese officials have reportedly urged the U.K. to quickly rescind its ban on exporting high-tech products to China and pushed for help convincing the European Union to grant China full market economy status.

During a visit to London on Monday, Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang asked British Prime Minister David Cameron to help persuade the EU to lift its embargo on selling arms to China, the Xinhua state news agency reported Tuesday.
