US, Australia To Cooperate On Product Safety

Law360, New York (January 13, 2011, 4:44 PM EST) -- U.S. and Australian product safety regulators signed an agreement Thursday providing a framework for their cooperation in an effort to help reduce the risks of injuries and fatalities associated with consumer products in both countries.

The heads of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission signed off on a memorandum of understanding that they say will benefit consumers in both their jurisdictions.
