FDA Urged To Boost Oversight Of Food Safety Claims

Law360, New York (January 14, 2011, 5:41 PM EST) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration must streamline its approach to protecting consumers from misleading health claims on food labels, partly by seeking legal authority to make companies provide information substantiating such claims, the U.S. Government Accountability Office has said.
