Judge Nixes Polymer Maker's $60M Antitrust Case

Law360, New York (January 18, 2011, 3:14 PM EST) -- A federal judge has tossed polymer maker JPS Elastomerics Corp.'s $60 million suit accusing rival Specialized Technology Resources Inc. of bringing sham trade secrets litigation and attempting to drive away JPS customers and suppliers.

Judge Michael A. Ponsor granted STR's motion to dismiss the suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts on Friday, handing judgment to STR in a suit accusing it of trying to drive JPS out of the market for a specialized polymer used in solar energy cells.
