Jury Clears AK Steel In ArcelorMittal Patent Suit

Law360 (January 18, 2011, 8:32 PM EST) -- A federal jury has cleared AK Steel Corp. and two other U.S. steelmakers in a patent infringement suit brought by rival ArcelorMittal SA, finding that its patent for aluminum-coated boron steel used in automobile frames was obvious and, therefore, invalid.

The jury handed down its decision Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, according to a statement issued Monday by AK Steel.
