Airline Fined For Illegally Dumping Hazardous Waste

Law360, New York (January 20, 2011, 1:19 PM EST) -- Charter airline Miami Air International Inc. has been sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to pay a $125,000 criminal fine for illegally storing and disposing of hazardous oxygen generators and personal breathing equipment.

Miami Air, which operates out of the Miami International Airport, pled guilty Tuesday before Judge Federico A. Moreno of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and was sentenced the same day.
