Contractor Says No Bribery Found At Ghana Oil Field

Law360, New York (January 25, 2011, 2:01 PM EST) -- Japanese contractor Modec Inc. has said an internal investigation has shown no sign of bribery violations at an offshore oil project near Ghana being developed by Kosmos Energy Ltd., Anadarko Petroleum Corp. and others.

"This investigation has found no evidence of any violation of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act or any other applicable jurisdiction's anti-bribery laws," Modec said in a statement Sunday.
